A great way to keep on top of your hazards, their associated controls and consider the compliance implications is to keep a Risk Register and Rob Kellock Business Consulting is giving a template away for FREE. It’s not the only way and it’s not always the best way (depending on what systems and processes you already have in place), but a risk register is a great way to manage your hazards. Log your hazards in the register, consider the associated requirements such as the legal requirements, codes of practice, etc, determine how much of a risk they pose and then develop controls to manage the risks and record that they have been appropriately addressed.
